At Vip Service we specialize in repairing LG Refrigerators that use the (LC) Linear Compressor thats standard on nearly all LG made freezers and refrigerator units sold in the last decade.

​

(LC) Inverter Linear Compressors tend to be more efficient, quiet and reduce friction points that should provide longer service life. LG has shipped well over 15 million (LC) equipped refrigeration units to date. There is very good chance that if you own an LG refrigerator you have the (LC) Linear Compressor in it.

 

While most people never have any issues with their LG fridges these (LC) equipped units do have some issues with premature compressor failures. Unlike most other reciprocating compressors that typically last well over 10 years, small percentage of (LC) compressors tend to stop working within first 2-5 years of the refrigerator lifespan.

LG settled a class action law suite and extended warranties on many of their (LC) equipped units. In most cases you now have 5 year part warranty on your sealed system and 10 year part warranty on compressor itself. Most common symptoms of such failure is warm temperatures in the refrigerator, its cooling not but as cold as it should be.

​

These warranties are for parts only and do not include labor, freon and other service related expenses. Vip Service has been servicing and repairing these type of units for many years now, we can fix units that other companies simply can not.
